    Question for anybody who knows this....my son wants his car,I know the logistics to get the car to GTMO. what I want to know is what happens to the current tags on the car, does it have to get register at the base? Do I keep it insured?

    Don, I've never been to GITMO only my son has for refueling and etc... My understanding is it's such a super secured place that All personnel not assigned must have permission of the Commander to visit Naval Station Guantanamo Bay.

    So my best suggestion would be to contact your sailor directly...
