  • Good Afternoon Everyone!!  Son PIR 10 Oct 2014 Ship 13 Div 324 will begin HT - A - School at Great Lakes in the next week or so, we think.  Saw that there was a group for HT on Navy Dads and thought it was a good idea to be part of another fine aspect of Navy Dads!!

  • My son graduated from A-school today.  He will be on the USS Nimitz, Everett, WA.

  • My son finishes A-school in January.  I saw this group and thought I'd join in.

  • Glad my son is following in my foot steps. I was a HullTech on the Simon Lake

  • I think he will find quite a difference between A-school and being out there doing his job.
  • Brandon will be on the lpd-9 USS Denver ported in Sasebo Japan.

  • Verizon put his US account on military hold, stopping monthly charges. He got a plan (and phone) at the Navy Exchange in Yokosuka which allows him to call the states for a reasonable monthly charge. When his ship is in port there is wye-fi available in the galley so we can have video conversations. He also is able to e-mail fairly often while at sea. We actually talk to him more that we do with our oldest boy who is in college in So-Cal.
