NAS Jacksonville Air Operations

NAS Jacksonville Air Operations is a leader in aligning requirements and resources to deliver the right capability to the warfighter. Home to 15 squadrons, including one Customs and Border Patrol aviation command flying 10 different aircraft, NAS Jax provided global support to the fleet by conducting more than 77,000 flight operations during 2011. They also supported 60 detachments consisting of 5,000 people and 255 aircraft during 322 detachment days. NAS Jacksonville Air Operations is a hub for numerous distinguished visitors within the region and is a key logistics node for the Federal Emergency Management Agency support and a safe haven for Department of Defense aircraft during regional natural disasters.
