Advanced Hawkeye to Make Maiden Deployment on Theodore Roosevelt

NORFOLK (NNS) -- Five E-2D Advanced Hawkeyes assigned to Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 125 will make their maiden deployment as part of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). USS Constitution Gets Underway

BOSTON (Oct. 17, 2014) USS Constitution gets underway in Boston Harbor for the ship's 217th birthday cruise. This is Constitution's last scheduled cruise before entering dry dock in 2015 for three years of restoration work. Two F/A-18C Hornets crash in the Pacific

Western Pacific Ocean – Two F/A-18C Hornets based on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson crashed in the Western Pacific Ocean on Friday. The two Hornets from Carrier Air Wing 17 crashed at 5:40 p.m. local time. The initial report is that the two aircraft are assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 94 and Strike Fighter Squadron 113 based at Naval Air Station Lemoore , according to a release from the Navy. United States Navy Promotes Michelle Howard to 4-Star Admiral

ARLINGTON, Va. (NNS) -- The United States Navy promoted Michelle Janine Howard to the rank of four-star admiral July 1 during a ceremony at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus presided over the ceremony and administered the oath of office. Adm.
