PIR on 30 Mar 12 was, in agreement with my sailor, "epic"! He is at "A" School in San Antonio now. It appears, from his Twitter and Facebook accounts, he is fitting in and making new friends quickly. Our family had only 7, short, hours with him as he PCS'ed to A School Saturday morning. At least he now has his cell phone.
We got letters from our son, Brian, on the 17th. He's making friends and seems to be adjusting well. We can see a military flair in his writing style already. As a Coastie I'm finding it a little strange -in a good way - in becoming a Navy dad. (I'll try not to make too many "squid" jokes.)
