So as everyone knows only three guests/sailor are going to be allowed into PIR on 11/27. Be a family of 5 including our SR, me,my wife, 15 year old daughter and 4 year old son, what are the some of the options for the 4th guest (me)? I have heard the chapel is open with live feed but no heat. Can I drop my family off, go back to the hotel to watch via live feed and get back in after PIR? Shuttles available to do the same? Just trying to figure out the options.
Just recieved our second phone call. Tyler was upbeat but tired. He had two wisdom teeth pulled earlier this week. He passed his first inspection and test. He also mentioned that Wednesday is the halfway point. WOW! Keep up the great work Tyler!!!!
Our S.R. is in 030 also. He called last saturday but we had taken his dog for a walk so all we got was a phone message. He had sounded tired but encouraged by what he has achieved up to that point.
We got a call 10/19 as well. My wife got the call, however I was in flight at the time. I am glad she got to talk to him, but can't help but feel a little jealous. He is doing well, actually said he's having fun, and knows this was the right decision. They have received some letters and the phone cards are a hit -- he says to send more. He actually thanked his mother for teaching him about attention to detail and how important it is. Overflowing with pride.
We just (half hour ago) got a call from my son. He sounded great, was staying health and is doing well in all aspects. I am so glad to hear from him and that he is doing well.
I know I put this in the Boot Camp group but my son is in Div. 030. His name is Tyler. He will be going to Chareston for A school (NUC). We are from Jasper, NY. A small town in western NY.
