Navy Band Southwest is in concert tomorrow, Sunday October 20th at 4pm at First United Methodist Church at 1200 East H Street, Chula Vista. NMCRS North Island will be there with resources and information about our programs and services.

Navy Musicians from Navy Band Southwest performed Oct. 10 during Navy Region Southwest's celebration of the 238th birthday of the Navy. The ceremony included a cake-cutting, a bell-ringing and a reading of the chief of naval operations' official Navy birthday message...

Kind of dead in here. We need to liven things up a bit here. Chaz just arrived in Norfolk last Friday & is getting settled in. He posted on Facebook a few days ago that he thinks it was a pretty good decision to join the Navy band - I think so too! He's got a great future ahead of him. I'll try to post updates to keep things moving here. I'm sure I've got some pics or text messages from Chaz that I can share. I would like to hear about your sailor's status too. I'm proud of them all, just a little partial to mine.

Thanks for the tip Jim. Chaz is the first trombone on the left of the front row. Looks like a sailor to me. Should be getting the call Tuesday!

Chaz's PIR is thus coming Friday. I can't wait to see him in person. He will be playing at his PIR but also played at the 9/7/12 PIR. One of the other parents took a ton of pics ( thank you Haupenthals) & Chaz was in 15 of them. I wanted to put his pic here but can't figure out how to do it. It's in my photos on Navy Dads. He is the first Tbone on the left.
