  • Our son was a Navy Cadet since his Freshmen year of high school. He left for Navy boot camp Feb. 14. Still adjusting to him being gone. Helps to know his experience in the Cadets will help him along.
  • Hello Sea Cadets,

My son was in Sea Cadets from the age of 11 until he graduated HS.  When he graduated he was PO1 and LPO for his division in Arizona.  He is going to be heading to RTC on the 5th of Jan and his PO says that with what he knows and his military bearing he will do great in RTC.  My son is aiming high for Honor Recruit and I believe he can do it.  Maybe it's just dad's high opinion but I'm proud of the sailor he will be and it is very much in part from his time in Sea Cadets.

  • Hello. Don't know if anyone is following this group or not, but I thought I would check in just the same. Our daughter is at Great Lakes now for RTC. Both her and her brother (and dad) have been in the USNSCC since 2012. Our daughter graduated the program but her brother is still in - Cincinnati Division. This is the best kept secret of the Navy. I like to think that Rebecca is more prepared for big Navy boot camp as a result of her going through boot camp and various other advanced trainings while in Sea Cadets.
  • I'm glad to see that this group exists.  Our daughter (pictured here) is a Seaman Apprentice with the Sea Cadet Battalion in Raleigh, North Carolina.

  • No, Karla. On N4M I am "mom2kandq"

  • Cool!  I tried to find you, but couldn't find ya.  Are you under the same username as on here?

  • Yes, Karla.  Been with N4M since before Kaitlin went to MEPS.  Looked here a few times (to encourage Lee to sign up) and decided just to sign up myself.

  • Thanks Becki, I will.  Will only get to see the babygrand for about 4 hours on Christmas Eve, but will enjoy every second!!!  Congrats to your and yours on Kaitlyn's Navy decision!  Are you also on navyformoms.com?  God bless!

  • Hi Karla!  I know things are going well with you guys.  Enjoy this Christmas with the family, Grandma.

  • I will , thanks.
