  • Congratulations to the USS BOXER, USS HARPERS FERRY and the USS NEW ORLEANS on a successful 2016 deployment! I know it was a busy deployment dealing with Yemen and Iraq..but these Sailors and Marines kept the Tip of the Spear very Sharp!...I remember 4 years ago when I saw my son graduate from boot camp...I could see the change in him. When I saw my son last week after this deployment..I looked into his eyes and I could see a change in him....you know what I mean?
  • Well, since the Boxer ARG made it public, they are in Hawaii! I was able to watch them pull into port live as it happened on their command page...very cool! My wife and I will be going to San Diego to welcome them home! Can't wait to have a cold beer with my son. He said he's got plenty of stories to tell us!
  • USS BOXER LHD 4 working right up to the end of deployment!!
  • Even though deployment will be soon coming to an end, it's good to see the boys still getting some flight time in!!
  • My son's ARG made a port call. He was able to shoot me some txt messages from where he was at. It was Great to hear from him. Since they are on the backside of their deployment, everyone is looking forward to coming home.
  • I'm so Proud of my Son and his fellow Sailors of the Boxer ARG and the Marines of the 13Th MEU for their "Hit them Hard "attitude during their part of Operation Inherent Resolve! I got to be honest...seems like yesterday when I was trying to teach him on how to catch a baseball when he was little...Now, he has 4 years of service under his belt with 2 to go. Time goes by quick!
  • USS BOXER LHD 4 is at the tip of the spear! Hit them hard! Hit them often!
  • Didn't expect a phone call from my son while deployed...but I got one from him this past Sunday. He sounded good and he said everyone is motivated!
  • Thanks BoddyZee!  I will pass that along to Kev.

  • Yes Daniel $300 is the amount for food. My sailor said to go see his Personnel Specialist for help in this matter.
