  • I hear a lot about the Tiger Cruise, but have no idea what it is.

    Can anyone fill me in?

    Thanks

    • Tiger Cruise, is when an immediate family member gets to meet a ship on it's return from deployment and ride along for a few days to home port. The Tiger Cruise for this deployment of The Bush has been canceled. I was planning to go, but will settle for being on the pier when they come home and spending 10 days in Norfolk with my son!

    • I email with my son on a regular basis, and as mentioned above, OPSEC forbids him from discussing the deployment schedule. He has said he "hopes" to be home for Thanksgiving, but the keyword there is " hopes". This is his second trip to that part of the world, and given the current situation. The Navy could extend the cruise.

  • You can follow them on Facebook at the USS George H.W. Bush page.

  • No need ever to apologize...if it goes too far we simply edit or delete the post James!!  Now about that Tiger Cruise.............

  • We thank you for replying to my question. We were able to follow his deployment trip for most of the time, so I was hoping to follow his return trip. Just an over anxious parent...sorry!!
  • we're extremely careful about not posting ship movements due to OPSEC guidelines.  This is a pretty generic post....just always remember that is this a public site and while we have some restricted groups (SEAL groups) that do not show up to the general public, almost everything else does!!!  Welcome to the site!!!
