  Question regarding promotion... my son was promoted to Petty Officer 2nd Class last October and has not received any pay increase yet.  If and when he starts receiving the pay increase, will the Navy give him back-pay from the date of promotion?  Just curious.

  USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) is scheduled to return its homeport Saturday from its nine month deployment. You can watch its homecoming starting at approximately 11:30 a.m. ET here.

  I email with my son all the time, he has not mentioned combat pay, and OPSEC forbids him from discussing the deployment schedule.

  ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 9, 2014) An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the Valions of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 15 launches off of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). George H.W. Bush is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
