  • USS Theodore Roosevelt tested its close-in weapons system (CIWS) yesterday during an ongoing composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) as the aircraft carrier and its strike group prepares for an upcoming deployment.

  • We were planning on going out our selves but it sounds like our son will get leave to come home. We have not heard any different but with the situation in Korea who knows. If we get the chance the tiger cruise is awesome the navy was very accommodating in 2015.
  • Walker, hi. This is our sons first time out. He's a Search and Rescue Swimmer so he's spent the past few years training. We're also hoping for a Tiger Cruise, sounds like a great time. We're also hoping we get to see him in September, but it sounds like it's up in the air right now.

  • Yes my son has been on the Roosevelt since2015. I hope to get another tiger cruise. The last one was a dream come true.
  • Anyone else in here have a sailor currently on the Roosevelt?
