It was a very proud day for myself, Ryan, and his mother. Now we are torn up over this decision.

    Carl,

    I hope this message finds you well. I was just reading some of the comments that are still here. We are STILL having issues in South Bend with this stuff. Spice is everywhere up here. More young people are dying because of it. I wish there was more we can do.

    It's just that I saw it4 on the news again and immediately thought of you and what you went through.

    Welcome to NavyDads.com Carl. I sincerely wish it were under different circumstances. We have a great support system here Carl- I see you’ve found Florence and David….hopefully through the Gold Star Support Group you can find a small measure of closure and understanding. Our members offer prayers in the Prayer Request group and you may find solace there. If you have any comments, questions or concerns....be sure to post them! In my experience someone here can answer your questions or concerns or hopefully can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm blessed to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) just completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72).     Carl, Welcome Aboard!

    When my son first enlisted in the Navy I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to his future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads but found out I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and hope this site will benefit fathers that follow behind us.

    I see you found Gold Star Family Support. That is a great place to start.
    We also have a prayer group on the site.

    I'm sorry for your lose and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
