  • Frank; my son is an EM; he had a long gap between “A” school and power school but is super excited about getting back to school. I’m a retired AOC, if we AO’s gave our students that long of a gap in Pensacola, we’d lose a big bunch. Pensacola + time off + a pay check, not a good combination. I’ve visited Goose Creek twice in the last 8 maybe 8 1/2 months. Every student I’ve met is focused and will be a great asset to the fleet.

  • Yes they did. Look forward to attending the graduation. Our sailors have a lot of work ahead of them. Is your son an MM Mike?

  • Troy, glad your son made it home to be with you. They are almost there, won't be long now and we will all be in Goose Creek........Matt's Navy B-Day is July 18th, the year went fast

  • Hi John, We are proud of our son as you with yours. Nick is 3 weeks away from graduating A school. He will be home for 10 days then back to Prototype. We are so excited to see him. He will be the third generation in our family to serve in the armed forces. My dad 10 months on the front trenches of the Korean war, I a medic during Desert Storm era, and Nick with the Iraq war. My wife (Nicks mother) is also a USAF Veteran. We strongly believe we live in the greatest place on earth and will vigorously defend and serve. John, thanks for the text, I wish you and your family good health and safety. regards, Tracy
  • Hi John and welcome! I read your comment in the Bootcamp Group and your comment about your wife hit me. My son's PIR was 8/15, he's moved across the street and waiting for school to start, hopefully this Tuesday. If you wife would like to talk to other Mom's during this time, please let her know that there are Mom's on this site. Also, there is the Navy for Mom's site, which is great for support, encouragement, info, and anything else she may need. I'm also a member of N4M's and would love to keep in contact with her. When Morgan left for BC (he was living in Seattle), I thought my heart was going to break. I know she's lived through BC hell alreay, but if this time is going to be harder for her, we'll be there for you....and you! God bless. Cindy
  • My Name is John Augustine and have two of my sons in the Navy. My oldest son TJ is a EM on the USS Columbus, based in Hawaii and has been in for 3 years.
My middle son is Chaz, he is in Special OPS bootcamp. He has just started his career.
I would like to thank everyone for their support, Stand tall and be proud. We are the people that will continue to keep America strong. John
  • Johnthanks for joining. I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads wouldn't feel guilty interacting in a woman's world. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailors. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud navy dads just like myself. Thank your sons for their service for me. Good luck and thanks again for joining. EG
