I am a Director of Resort Operations for a Timeshare Resort Management Company. My son was in the Cerimonial Guard in Arlington, he has served with the VFA-15 Valions Strike Group in the Gulf and is presently at EglinAFB in Fort Walton Beach, FL working with the F-35.

    Rich !!!!! Man I'm glad to see you active on the site again........thinking about you recently as Eric has orders to report to Hawaii (Marine Air Base) in August....I see a trip to the islands in the works for me - we have to get together to talk Navy and Tiger Cruise Days !!!!

    I'm so disapointed the Tiger Cruise was cancelled.
    Some of the Sailor have the Swine Flu......

    Hi Richard,
    NavyDad/admin told me that I should talk to you about the
    Tiger Cruise that I will be going on in Hawaii.
    Does the Navy pick us up at the airport or do we have to take a cab?
    Do we need a pass to get into the gate?
    I'm arriving one day before the ship leaves, do they let you off the
    ship to go out and enjoy yourself?
    If I have any other questions I hope you don't mind if I ask you.

    Richard, I am really glad that you will be on the cruise looking forward to it as well. I can't imagine how excited you are with not seeing David for 2 years. It's only been 5 months since I last saw Kira and it is driving me nuts.

    Richard, Welcome Aboard! I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy dads just like myself. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is on the second half of a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat recently returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Richard this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how David is doing!
