  • Glad you liked it John! Paul and my wife surprised me with a visit just after Christmas. She should have a Top Secret rating too! Congrats on your son's graduation. I remember those days at Groton. So nice to drive a couple hours from Long Island and see Paul! Took him to the airport yesterday..... doesn't get any easier after three years, BTW.... He'll be going back out to sea soon, so it was nice to have some time with him.

I've learned that it isn't a problem to mention the boat that your son is on - where is his and the boat's movements aren't. Just for fun, following is the clandestine mission of my son's arrival... enjoy!

  • Dear Kenorian,

Thank you for posting this photo. You have always been a thoughtful adviser, and that is not taken for granted by me.

My son is now rated - he's an ET now. We saw him graduate up there at Groton a week before Christmas, and we were so proud to see those Young Men Graduate from almost a year's training.

Now he is off to [ XYZ ] * school. Then after he finishes there, he goes off to KingsBay, and a Boomer there. ( * I don't know if it is safe to mention the Boat he is going to be on there ..... I read on another posting that someone mentioned the Boat, but i dont' know about the schools, etc.,.. ??!!)

Well, thanks again for all you advice, and tell your son , "Thanks !" for his hard work , serving our Country.

By the way, i spoke with a Bubble Head Ossifer - face to face - and he was able to tell me much more about my son's future rating, and life aboard a submarine. Again, thanks for all you help .

God's Peace and Protection to all of our Sailors.

    Thank you , Kenorian.

    Cordially, John , in Georgia
