I too missed my son, Andrew, first call. He had been in camp for only 8 days so I was taken off guard by the call. Picked up my phone and saw the little voicemail symbol, listened, and it was him. So upset with myself all evening. He sounded great though which was great! He said in his message that he had sent his 1st letter. We still havent received it though. Maybe today
Donald,
I totally understand, we also missed the first call even though she did not leave a message. the second call came the next day after she was awarded a quick phone call home. she did cry a lot and told us she hated it. I told her it was a new process and that it would soon be over. She graduated last week and she had a smile from ear to ear. I suggest you write her many letters as soon as you get her address, it makes their day! Take care and please tell your daughter thank you for serving.
Ron
I felt the same way when I missed my son's call in BC. Don't worry you'll hear from her again...
