BOOT CAMP

WELL, IT'S BEEN A WEEK TODAY SINCE GREG JR. LEFT FOR RTC.  I WAS ABLE TO BE THERE WHEN HE AND HIS FELLOW SERVICEMAN  TOOK THEIR ARMED FORCES OATH AT FT. HAMILTON, BROOKLYN, NY.

A VERY MOVING AND POWERFUL CEREMONY. ONE OF OUR MEMBERS SAID HE FELT LIKE HE WAS

SEEING HIS SAILOR GO TO KINDERGARTEN WAY BACK WHEN. WELL I'LL TELL YOU, I FELT THE SAME WAY  TIMES 10...

I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE RECEIVING INFORMATION FROM RTC IN 2 WEEKS. CAN'T WAIT. I ALREADY

WROTE HIM A LETTER AND AM JUST WAITING FOR THE INFO TO SEND IT,(LOL)

WELL, THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME SHARE THAT . ANYONE OUT THERE WHO'S SAILOR IS ATTENDING

ENGINEMAN SCHOOL?   LET ME KNOW ..........THANKS......GREG FINLEY SR.

GOD BLESS ALL OUR SAILORS AND SOLDIERS  AND   GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • Greg,  My son Jason left 4 weeks ago Sunday the 2nd.  You are right about 2 weeks after he has left you get what I have been told is your kid in a box less the kid.  That sould have his address, ship and div.  My wife got a call last Friday from our son, it was only 10 minutes.  We are starting to get letters from him, but he reminds us it is going very slowly for him and he can not wait for it to be over.  We got our PIR date and can not wait to go.  I'm so proud of the decision my son made to join and thankful for all the other young adults that made the decision to serve our country.  I only joined this site a few days ago, I can not tell you how releived my wife and I are with the support from all the other parents.
