I am sure he will get in touch with you as soon as possible. Prepare to get used to it because when he gets into the fleet and then deployed, communication will be limited. Emails and FaceBook updates through the ship will be important in communication. When he is assigned to a ship he will get a xxxxx@.navy.mil address. That will be your best friend before and while he is deployed since cell phone useage is not permitted while underway. I have 6 years of experience in these matters!!! Best of luck to you and your son...
if an emergency you need to use the Red Cross...we have some contact info if needed....
here is a link to all the domestic bases....there should be contact info to the base...you could try and see what they say or have a suggestion: http://www.navy.mil/navydata/navy_legacy_hr.asp?id=195#chasn
Teddy, join the Navy Nukes group, someone there may have advice. My son is also there but on that group you may find his class mates faster.
