ETSA Sullivan Update

I talked to Trevor this morning and he informed me that he may be graduating A School next friday the 8th of May. He is scheduled to graduate the 22nd of May. This means that he will be getting out of A school 2 weeks early. Sometimes this boy is to smart for his own good, but that's how he has been since day 1 of his life. One of the bad things about this is that he found out last week that when he graduates from a school that the Navy has put a hold on all moves right now. He says that his Chief told him that he might get his orders in June but he wont get to move until September or October at the earliest. This means he will spend from May to September or October in Great Lakes. I know this won't be a bad thing except for the fact that he won't be able to get started on his C School but hopefully he will get to get out of Great Lakes winter and go to San Diego and enjoy the warm weather. That is all that I have as far as news for now will keep everyone up to date when I find out more.

  • I don't know Paige he hasn't said anything about being an honor graduate but I would not be surprised about it. He has been ahead of the class since he has been in A school. He had a slight advantage going into A School. He took a pre-engineering class at the local votech while he was still in high school. He had to learn basic electronics in this class which he has said made it alot easier for him when he got to A School.
Yes I am very proud of him. I too hope that they get to move before the winter sets in in Great Lakes. I know they had a very god taste of it this past year. Both said that they wanted to have a white christmas for the baby but I believe they got more than what they bargained for.
  • Tim,

Congratulations to Trevor on his success and early completion of A-School. I know you are very proud of how well he's been doing. I have read many comments posted on the N4M's web page about sailors being held over in Great Lakes even after they have finished A-School. Even those who are currently in school are being told they're not leaving until around Oct. I'm guessing this all has to do with the lack of funding, but I don't know that for sure. We'll hope Treavor is able to leave before next winter sets in. San Diego will definately be a pleasant and welcomed change. Billy really likes it there.

Good luck to Trevor. Will he be finishing A-School as an honor graduate?
