Graduation date

I've just learned of my son's graduation date, and wondering about how long we should stay. He graduates 5/10 what my question is.. do we only get to see him graduation day? Do we bring him back to FL or does he immediately go on to his next training duty. Trying to buy airline tickets

Hey Mark congratulations to your Sailor! What an awesome experience! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Libertyville, about 7 miles from the base. It was a straight shot to the base and very clean hotel with hot breakfast available every morning thats included with your stay. It runs about $110 a night, worth the stay if in your $ range. Can I get any recommendations on a hotel near the base? 

I am going to graduation May 31st. and I need a room for two.

Thank you Paul for the info, that narrows it down for me. I believe he'll be going to Pensacola for air traffic control

Depends where his A-school is: unless he stays in Great Lakes for A-school he will leave Saturday. That means he will several hours of leave after PIR and then be taken to airport sometime Friday night. You can meet him at the airport and get a pass thru security and wait with him at the gate until departure. If he stays in Great Lakes, he needs to report back at base each evening, but will have leave each day (unless he has watch).
