Intel dads

Are there any future or present Intel dads here? Can you give me any advice for my Son Dallas. He ships out for Boot Camp on 1 Dec. He isn't getting ahead of himself. He is curious as to what to expect when he gets to Damneck Va.? Of all of the intel rates what is the best one to get into and ones to stay away from? I have told him one step at a time by get to basic training, getting through basic training, and then on to A school. He understands this, but none the less, curious as I would be to. Thanks a head of time!

    Our daughter is an IT instructor at Dam Neck.  She was promoted to Chief September 16, 2015 along with several IS's. Great two days for me too. My take IS "A" School is difficult but for those that study it will not be a problem.  They expect their Sailors to be fit and stay fit. They expect them to not only to meet Navy standards but exceed them. IS is a small a community and in time one will get to know all within that community which is great. Wish your son good luck.................

    Greetings Todd.  Forgive me if I'm a little confused; is your son already slated for the Intelligence Specialist (IS) A school?

    My daughter is currently in bootcamp and will be heading to CTI (Interpreter) school as soon as she graduates.

    Todd, Damneck is an annex of NAS Ocean, about 4 miles away and is a cool little base with it's own beach right on the Atlantic ocean.  MWR provides for lots of things to do and VA Beach is only a short cab ride away.
