Our Son Is A Sailor

After a disappointing arrival at the Navy Camp Grounds, and what I mean is, we had made reservations at the camp ground prior to our arrival which included a back ground check. We had asked if the spots were Full Hook Up, and they advised yes they were, they even ask if we needed 30 or 50 amps, so we advised we needed two spots a 30 and a 50 amp so we figured everything was a go. We get here today and the spots were only 30 amps, with only electric, no water or sewers. Well what can i say? We managed to find a Hotel that we could park our trailers and unhook with no problem, thank The Lord we did. Now for the good news, as we were unloading the trailer to go into our hotel room, my wife got that special telephone call and those special words,"I'm a Sailor", its funny how everything else becomes so meaningless. We're so Proud of our Son and now we can't wait for PIR.One final note: The Navy Security Police Officers at the Gate we went thru were great. A Special thanks to MA2 Turner, he's the Security Police Officer that escorted us to the marina, he couldn't have been more helpfull to us and showed Great Professionalism. Well that's it for now, till next time,One Very Proud Navy Dad,Marco V.
