My daughter will be graduating on December 12, 2014. I have made arrangements at the Red Roof Inn. I was wondering if anyone wanted to have a meet and greet Thursday12/11 before the graduation? I hear that the Ramada Inn has a meet and greet from 6PM to 8PM.
My daughter has asked that I adopt her and her fellow SR for Thanksgiving. Anyone have any ideas about a place to have a good dinner? They can travel no more than50 miles from the base. I have found Prairie Grass about 14 miles from the base Anyone been there?
I am a Marine veteran (66-73). My daughter entered the Navy at age 27. So far she is doing very well. Here name is Jessica Grant. As you can imagine I am beaming with pride and cannot wait to see her on Thanksgiving and at PIR. Her test scores were exceptional and she chose LS because she could not get nuc due to age. LS will be a good career for her.

Got a call from my daughter. I guess we will be going to Lovell's. Her list includes a hot dog for lunch, football, and steak and key lime pie. Will Sarge have a Meet and Greet for the Thanksgiving holiday?
Was at GL for PIR 10 Oct 2014 - If you are able to make it, Sarge's Meet and Greet is well worth the opportunity for friendship, making acquaintances, good food, good fun, and purchasing memorabilia. We also went to Lovell's - yes, it was expensive - but - PLENTIFUL servings!! Captain Lovell did tour the Sailor's tables during our evening, also. A once in a lifetime event. Best wishes to your family for a very rewarding experience at PIR.

Looking for a restaurant with a Thanksgiving menu. I found Prairie Grass about 14 miles away. My daughter loves sports and I saw Mike Ditka's has a Thanksgiving buffet. Any thing similar would be helpful. I am going to get ideas from her and her SR friend...they may want something different.
