Received orders

My son Greg just received orders . He has to report to Norfolk in a few days. His ship is now deployed replacining the Stennis. Will they get him out there or we he have to wait until The ship returns? If anyone knows, please let me know.....G Finley SR. GO NAVY

My Son had to go to knife and fork school in RI before getting to WA state(his new duty station)  and his family. He did join the Stennis in route, so I would assume that your Son will do the same. My Son had to accompany 25 newly graduated recruits with him as far as Europe, so I think your Son will  join up with the Ike somewhere "over there". 

Good Luck to him and his shipmates!  Navy Lodges are great, try and get to the Hale Koa on Waikiki Beach, the Kilueau Military Camp on the Big Island or to Shades of Green in Disney World, just a short walk down a driveway and across the street is the Polynesian resort and the Monorail. Room prices are reflective of his rank, but are very very reasonable!

No when the ship comes back in the Summer. He's got it made for a while my son was driving home a lot before the ship deployed. Take a drive over there nice base stay at Navy Lodge good place near the base. Good Luck to him and thank him for his service and your family's commitment
