Elbert---when my son went through RTC ('07) he said kinda the same thing ....said he was a little disappointed it wasn't more "full metal jacket"!!

Ahoy Bob, My son Kris is on Ship 13 Div. 328 and I will be at the PIR Graduation October 1. He was Commissioned Master at Arms of Div. 328 He said he is Third in Command for that Div.so your grandson has to know each other. I'm a old Viet Nam salt and I am Proud of all of these fine young men that decided to service our country in the US Navy like we did. I recieved a letter from Kris last night and he said they would be going through Firefighting and damage control this week. Today (Thursday) they will be put in the gas chamber.The last week will be Battle stations and final written tests. He said basic training is easier then he thought it would be? Keep in touch, EL
