Ship 2/division 905

Good morning everyone. My son arrived on the 9th of Oct. Does anyone have a son or daughter in ship 2 Div 905? I've gotten the KIB but nothing else as of today, 10-22.

  • Ahhhh.  KIB  thanks.

  • "kid in box" or better known as "sailor in a box".....all your sailors belongings sent back home after arrival at RTC.

  • BTW. Paul,
    KIB????

  • My best advise Glen is to start to write. Put them in envleopes and stamp them. When you get the address, send them. My boot camp days, though so long ago are a distant memory. However, among some of my clearest memories is standing with the company while the recruit mail petty officer called my name, over and over again, each time handing me a letter. I share those letters with some of my fellow recruits who either didn't receive much (or any for that matter) mail. Letters were and it seems still is a great connection to the outside, which is very limited to the recruits. So my advice again is to write now and don't stop. He'll never get sick of your letters.
    Keep smiling,
    Joe
  • just note that it can take more than a week to get final division assignments...the recruiter will not know of final assignments that soon after shipping to RTC

  • Glen,

I called my son's recruiter the day after he left.  He was able to see the Ship/division and PIR on the computer.  He also had an address.

  • Glen, the Ship and DIV, Graduation Date (PIR), Get gate pass password online access (if you plan to drive-in and park your vehicle on the base) along with other important information from RTC will be on the "Form Letter" that you should hopefully be receiving soon via USPS.
