This year, the Navy marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). Today, Navy EOD is the force of choice to conduct maritime mine countermeasures, counter improvised explosive devices, weapons of mass destruction and all other types of weaponry, and enable Special Operations and conventional forces access to denied areas.
