ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 12, 2016) Pilots assigned to the Screwtops of Airborne Early Warning (VAW) 123 are awarded the Armed Forces’ Air Medal aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). The ship, along with embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3 and the Eisenhower carrier strike group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security operation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
