Graduation Date

Does anyone know how long until we should receive my daughter's graduation date for  Navy bootcamp? We have started shopping for airfare since it is expensive and there are 5 of us. But, we were curious how long we will have to wait. Also does anyone have any suggestions for booking flights considering the dates for graduation can sometimes change.

I received the graduation notice about 1 week and half from departing to boot camp. Once you know her ship and div, you can go to link http://www1.netc.navy.mil/nstc/rtcgl/upcoming_grads.asp. This will list all graduation dates.

When you get her first letter within a couple of weeks of her getting you should know the graduation date. The date shouldn't change unless she gets set back for whatever reason i.e. medical, dispiplinary, academic...

Use trip insurance in case something like that happens.

You can go to RTC great lakes web site and track the graduation dates under family stuff. Also if you buy tickets you might want to think about getting the insurance in case you have to change dates. Mine just left for boot two weeks ago (August 18) and her PIR date is October 15. Also one other thing, we were told you could only have 4 people at graduation so you may want to check with her. Anyway good luck and if you need anything else give me a hollar. I am finding myself spending a lot of time on the Dads web site and navy web site.
