PFC?
My son is the PFC in his div. When I was in boot (many years ago) I was the guide on. Which meant I carried the company number. However he's mentioned someone else is the guide on. I think from memory, each div also created their own flag also. So I'm guess he's carrying that. But I cannot recall what PFC means...personal flag carrier?
Also found a picture of him on facebooks navy page. Was good fun seeing it.

Yeah I'm quite certain it's called personal flag. Although by personal it's more like the whole div's flag. I know there are two flags in the front of the div, one was the company name and the other was a flag that was created by the company meant to represent the group as a whole.
On a side note, when i was in bootcamp we were so bad at earning flags we couldn't even fill up our whole front row.
