Navy Dads

Hi,

Our daughter shipped out on Jan. 30th and we have received her belongings, her address and a standard letter from the navy thanking us for our support. Does anyone have an SR in this ship/div? Thanks.

My son arrived on the 31st. We have received the infamous "kid in a box" and his "I arrived" phone call, but nothing else yet. Info is on the way, I'm sure. Meanwhile, I'm writing him a letter a day, storing them up to send out when I get his address.

Hope you get his address soon Robert, hang in there!

My wife kept asking the navy recruiter and he gave her the address on Saturday, have you tried asking the recruiter?

My Daughter also left on Jan. 30th.  We received her belongings that week with her mailing address.  We received our first letter from her today.

Hey Gary! Our daughter called yesterday at about 3:00 pm Great Lakes time and my wife talked to her for about 15 min, she said things are going well and they are getting treated a little nicer and the food is good and well she misses us but is happy and liking it there. The RDC's let them be at 10:00 pm and they stay up for awhile chatting, ironing and having a little personal time. She said everyone is very close and all in all it sounds really positive and we are very happy and proud our girl is doing well!

I think you are starting to see that about half-way through the RDCs change their training tactics....until now they needed to break everyone down and now they concentrate to building them back up as a team...
