Requesting leave is easy. The best way at holiday time to get together is to chose the new years leave period. Most want to be home for Christmas. Unless they are deployed or underway then no chance of leave. My son and his best friend from high school finally got home for 4 days together last year. They are on opposite coasts. You just have to work at looking at when you want to get together.

they need to submit a leave chit and get approval....but needs of the Navy trump leave requests !!!

Thanks for the well wishes. We still have one more son in college. It would be great to have him go also, but I don't think so. How do they get leave. Do they request leave, or are they just given leave?

good luck with having leave together....not once during Kat's 5-year enlistment did she and her brother get leave together.....of course having one in the Pacific fleet and one in the Atlantic fleet made that pretty darn near impossible!!!

Reagan had change of command yesterday. Good excuse for a day off. I love the web cam. Makes me feel like I know Bubba is safe. Strange but it works. Well Mitch looks like you have a real Navy family thing going on. Congrats. Hope you can have them both home on leave together sometimes.
