Nadine, it is up to the assignment and the Command they are assigned to. The second or third, lucky guy I was are not as bad. They use less OC on you then at school, in fact the last one was one quick spray and wash it off.

Passed the dreaded OC test. I am told they need to repeat this periodically. I hope this is another rumor.

Successful completion and pass on the OC-spray yesterday! He was so glad that was over and never wants to experience that again!

Well after being told in September that your finally going to MAA school Jon finally got his orders for SA. He reports to school Feb 10. His Captain is trying to get him leave until then because of his ship sailing for San Diego sometime this month.Jon told us that his Captain couldnt see him going to Florida with the ship and then having to stay there until it was time to report to school. We will know more soon. God bless all our military and bring them home safely............

Rakes, keep in touch, mine just finished his first week at RTC, he will then go to SA for MAA. As he still has plenty of time, have him study the DEP stuff hard it will make things easier. Obviously the college will also help, my son did the same with CJ courses and got 1/3 of his Associate Degree finished after high school and before RTC!

I'm a old U.S. Sailor myself so I'm proud to say my son Kris enlisted it the Navy to become a Master at Arms in Aug. 2009 in the DEP program. He has taken law enforcement classes at the local Schoolcraft college. Kris is going to make a great addition to U S Navy MAA rating. He will be doing that he's always wanted to do ( living his dream) He will be one of a America finest Sailors ! We are still wait for him go active duty and basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Boot Camp Station on Aug. 2010.

Your are all welcome, if you have any other questions fire away, as the old saying goes, I have been there and done that! I would bet it was either raining or windy for cancel on the spray job, even the instructors an't get use to the stuff!
