Not sure if there's anyone in the group anymore but I thought I would check in.  My son is heading to RTC in one month and has a rating of MT.  He wasn't to sure about going subs but has decided that no matter what he will be the best submari

My son enlisted today

His job is MT. He and I haven't talked in detail so not sure when he will start basic. My impression is he has to wait a bit to start.
