25-4 study hours. What does that mean? Is that always an individual thing or could the whole class have it?
Thanks for the well wishes. everyone! lsdemme2001, yes it all depends on the timetable for who is replacing them I guess. By the way, in the Navy.mil page, you can sign up for the last tours and ceremony for decommissioning. You need to have an invite. Its free but apparently limited space. My son was asked to put in for staff but he wanted to get to sea! Maybe for a month or so. World works in strange ways
Congratulations OldLt. My son is an ETN on The Big "E". He is on his second deployment. Can't wait till they return home. He is slated to be part of the decomissioning crew when they return home. Not likely that your nuke will see any sea duty with the Big "E" unless he gets deployed to the ship right away. Pretty big nuke department on this carrier, but maybe they will work together one day. Best of luck to your son.
Congratulations to your son old Lt that is quite an accomplishment.
My son completed his oral boards yesterday, almost 2 years exactly from when he left for boot camp. His graduation is still over 2 weeks away. He will be serving on the Big E, due to be decommssioned this fall. We will have to see how that plays out.
My son passed his A school comp earlier today. He'll get his crow on Friday and 10 days of leave late in August.
Save the Clamagore:
The USS Clamagore SS-343 is in danger of being sunk if needed repairs are not made to this guppy class submarine located at Patriots Point Charleston SC. Please pass this on to all your Submariners so they can help save this ship. Here is the link:
Well my step daughter has a 5 year old I have been practicing on but this will be the first for real one
We call that nuke love, happens A LOT.
