GP My son is in his last few shifts of MARF @ BS. Apparently some issues with the facilities is going to delay his completion of Prototype. I found out a couple of days ago that he was not chosen for ELT. He seems OK with this since he's tired of constant school.

ML - Good luck to you and your family. I have also enjoyed reading other posts during hard times.

We left rainy DFW this morning for Goose C. Our EM graduates power school tomorrow. The weather here is great right now and we look forward to a great weekend.

Bye the way, if you ever get to the airport late, 40 minutes prior to take off. They might look at you and say, "it's too late to check that bag". And they just look at you with this blank stare. You might suggest that they let you get on the plane and put your bag on a latter flight. They didn't have any clue what we should do. I look forward to going back to get our stuff tonight. : )

My son makeing it thru this was a big thing that I have taken personal pride in I was a single parent with three kids two girls and a son. My personal navy carrier was cut short as a result of haveing to become a single parent. My son came from a modest back ground as a family of four we had a household income of less than 25k. I have personaly been diagnosed with a condition that makes it very dificult to do simple things like writeing. I was a seabee and the can do additude helped make it thru. I recived a grant for child care and was featured in the Dallas area in a fund raiser as a single parent. I also have a relationship with God, that helped me thru th e tough times. I consider myself very fortunate and just this past week I was contacted to participate in a study deep brain stimulation for my movement disorder. With the right aditude you can grow from anything. I am very proud of my son considering that my son scored a 99 on his asvab. It makes all of the strugles seem worth while. The right additude and faith in God. Im sure there is something good that can come from this trial.  God Bless you and your family

Michael I have been foloowing this in the background. I'm so glad to hear that this seems to be taking a good turn for you and your family. I in turn am also sad to hear that your son has gotten himself into this perdicument. My family and I will be keeping him in our prayers and hoping for the best possible outcome.

Hi Michael,

I am very happy for you to hear that the files are not classified. I did not know what to say when reading your post earlier. As parents, we all wish the best to our sailors. My little daughter just finished prototype early this year, she enjoyed a month-long vacation with us, then reported to the base for her first deployment at sea. I started missing her again, my tough little daugher!

I wish and believe that your son will move on without any problem.
