Comment by Mike K on November 2, 2009 at 6:14pm: My son who graduated A school on Oct 3rd says that he is "schooling up" to power school on Nov 24. He says there are two days of indoc for power school then the actual schooling will begin on Monday Nov 30th. He did say they get a 4 day liberty with some restrictions on travel over Thanksgiving. They want to be sure the sailors are back in plenty of time Sunday so nobody misses the first day of actual class. He also said that by schooling up that assures them of some leave over Christmas/New Years depending on how much they have accrued so that will be nice.

Comment by Mike K on October 23, 2009 at 4:29pm: Those who are not familiar with the Chicago area, two absolute musts for pizza and hot dogs/burgers/Italian Beef is Rosati's Pizza and Portillo's Hot Dogs. No doubt Gino's is good but a visit to Chicago without Rosati's and Portillo's is a trip missing the best. Sorry, I'm a bit biased.
