My son is nuclear QUALIFIED as of today!!  One of the first one to qualify for the Graduation on August 8th!  Also finished his total nuke program comp .10 ahead of his power school graduation with a 3.52.  So proud of him and this 2 year journey has been quite the ride, thanks for Navy Dads and FB group!!

Happy 25th Birthday to our Sailor - love this kid!  He finished his first week of "on-crew" Tuesday night - so far so good.  Today a few of them were going floating on the river - sounds like a fun day.

Happy belated Father's Day to all.  Mike is finished at GC and home for another week.  Had a great family get together on the Jersey shore.  His Grandparents(ages 91 and 92)    were totally surprised and impressed when he walked in , in uniform.  We're back here in NY and have some local plans for a few days.  Hope to get to a Yankee game this week.  We haven't been able to do that in a few years.  Then next week he leaves for Bangor WA and the USS Kentucky.

My son made it home for Father's Day!  They're working him hard on the boat.  I guess the old boats just need lots of TLC.  The good news is that he just qualified EPCP.
