Happy Friday and Happy Memorial Day!

Hi everyone.....we spoke with our sailor last night.  He thought he was going "On-crew" soon but said it has now been extended possibly a week or two - but still should be sometime in June.  So far things are going well.....getting sign-offs and managing to stay a little ahead of the curve.  We're trying to figure out a time to send his little brother to visit - he wants to take him to the Baseball Hall of Fame too!

Bob - that's a fine looking nuke you have there!  That's great that you were able to be there for the graduation.

Welcome Mark!

Happy Monday All!

A long road has been navigated. Our Matt Graduated from Nuclear Proto Type at Ballston Spa, NY on Fri 5/2 with 126 of his Shipmates. Matt is going to stay on at the Command as an Instructor (SPU) and begins his Instructor training on Monday.

So darn proud of Matt and all the young Men and Women who completed the Program. Bravo Zulu to all!

Thanks, I will. While at MEPS, to see our son get sworn in, I was able to pass along this web site to another family. They were looking for some place to get information about their sailors life and I told them I hadn't found a better site than yours.

you're gonna have your ups and downs Mark, but you'll find the 8 weeks goes by far faster than you think it will.....any questions you might have remember to post away!!!!

Hello Navy Dads, our son Eric just departed from MEPS in Sacramento for Great Lakes this morning. What a couple of days it has been for all of us. After all the information gathering and planning we had done to prepare for this moment we were still kind of caught off guard by how emotional it was. Now he's starting this journey towards his future, and we can't be happier

Wow Bob - that's fantastic news!  Bravo Zulu to your son and have a great time at graduation.  Good luck to him with his instructional staff training.

Great Day today, Matt called and he passed his Board Review at Proto Type with flying colors. He is now a fully qualified Nuclear Mechanical Tech.

We are headed up to Graduation at Ballston Spa this Friday.

After Graduation Matt begins his training as a new member of the Instructional staff.

Bravo Zulu Son!!!!!!!!!!!
