Hi everyone - Happy Friday! We are back from Ballston Spa. Had a wonderful visit with our sailor and met many of his friends. We made sure to get and give extra hugs to all of them!
The weather was great - a little chilly for me but no rain or snow! Hubby and sailor said the weather was perfect! We made it to Cooperstown to the Baseball Hall of Fame which was very nice.
Sailor, hubby and I at the park:
So far prototype is going well....they've been given a tentative September grad date but sailor said not to count on it. Lot's of delays.......He's still on "Off crew" and should switch to "On crew" sometime in June.
Eric - tell you daughter not to fret over the test - she has plenty more tests to go where she can make it up! Just remind her one day at a time - sounds like she has a great mindset and will do well!
Make sure you know the rules for claiming a dependent, as they are a little complicated. I would be surprised if any our sailors would qualify for 2014.
Barry, Actually both of you can file an amended return for this year. As all three of my children became independent but were still eligible to be counted as a dependent, I had them file as zero dependents, claimed them as a dependent and wrote them a check for the amount they would have received had they claimed them self.
Sailorette passed her first test!!!!!!
Talked to son last night - they were officially moved from MARF to S8G. And now they are being told they will start proto on Monday, 4/14. Even said their textbooks were assigned to them. Looks like this might be an actual date this time! Anyone else in 1401S8G?
Congrats Bob. My son was a SPU at Ballston Spa (S8G). Instructor duty is no picnic...
Count down has begun......Matt Graduates Proto Type at Ballston Spa May 2nd and will be headed up.....A long road, but the journey was worth it.
Then he started Instructor training and joins the Staff for 2 years....So Proud
That's great Eric - now the real fun can begin!
