My son is going to the A school after boot camp and I was wondering if they are allowed to have their cell phone and computer there, what restrictions do they have, etc.

I appreciate all the input I can get.

Thanks

FWIW Foster Creek Villas is a popular place to stay for visiting Nuke families.

Got the invitation in the mail yesterday.  0900 08MAR13.  Ominous warning.  Just curious, what happens to the sailors that don't make it through power school?

We normally stayed at the Air Force Base Inn but they were booked up for the time we were there. So we stayed at the Quality Inn on Red Bank Rd. Good price, close to the base.

There are two Quality Inns that we have stayed at that are both nice.  One is on Red Bank Rd a couple miles from the base, and the other is off the Interstate in North Charleston.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express near the base.  Room was great, and they had a decent hot breakfast too.  Only drawback was they have an outdoor pool, and it was closed when we were there in November.

I have the same, conflicting information. Waiting to hear something definitive...

Power School Class 1206 Graduation:

I received an invitation from the CO of NNPTC that gives the graduation date as March 2, 2013 @ 9:00am.  My son says that is not correct and the date is March 8. Anyone else have any information on this?

Comment by Ward Baxter on February 4, 2013 at 12:25pm

I haven't heard anything specific. I believe my son is in that group, though.

Anyone know any particulars about the Power Schoool graduation on March 8?
