Navydads Political Talk Rules and Guidelines

1. Whether Republican or Democrat we are all on the same team - The Navy's
2. Name calling or threats to any member because of their political stance will not be tolerated
3. Respect each others political views and debate them in a civil manner
4. Only a healthy debate will be allowed on this site
5. With the rules in place please feel free to join in on the debate

John and Luis have set a wonderful example of how we should debate things in a civil manner. I just want to be up front with everyone who participates in this discussion that I will not let this get out of hand. I want to warn everyone that this site is here to benefit us with our children's journey through the Navy not to slam each others political beliefs.

That being said I do understand that the next commander in chief will be relevant to us Navy parents. I encourage healthy debates when it comes to politics. It's what makes this country so great. We can have our own beliefs and we get to vote for whom we want in office. All I ask is for everyone to debate in a healthy manner not in a negative manner. Express your views and let others express theirs. I do not want this to be a negative response to this candidate or a negative response to that candidate. We all know that political talks can quickly become shouting matches and this is not the site for it.

Whichever candidate wins this election will be the one that we need to stand behind and support because this person will be our children's commander in chief. In the military it doesn't come down to whether you are a Republican or Democrat. In a time of war it comes down to protect your brothers in arms no matter what branch of military they are in or what their political, religious beliefs are. Navy, Marines, Airforce, Army and Coast Guard when it comes down to it will fight side by side to defend this great country's freedoms no matter where they come from.

Sincerely, Navydads Creator

Well here is an up date from the evil fox news network, seems Obama and his idiots got caught with there hands down there pants . This story was posted a while ago. If it wasn't for the evil ones the story might have gone unnoticed by the mainstream media, go figure.
I am not saying this has not been done before in other administrations, but Obama ran a campaign on HOPE AND CHANGE that we can believe in.
Its business as usual more broken promises from another failing group of politicians .
In November make sure that when you cast a vote ,that you do your home work before voting on the candidate . In my opinion they all need to go

Obama wants to close down the space program to study global warming? !!Is he kidding?? We will have to depend on China,Russia, India? Hes making us a third world country!! Not to mention what this is going to do to Florida who already has a major problems and has one of the highest unemployment states next to calf. Trust me I live on the space coast. Its going to be brutal!!They figure aprox. 12,000 laid off. What do you think thats going to do to the local econmy. And that train from tampa to Orlando what a political joke. Of all the three letter monosyllabic expletives I've always had a fondness for "Duh!" and "Not!" -- so much can be conveyed wit so little... If they're used sparingly ^_^

Pat, "duh" is condescending and insulting. I understood what he was saying, I just wanted him to articulate it rather that infer it.

Not sure what your analogy means, Mike. Last week there was a discussion about FN because the libs claim they are not a true new organization and no one really watches them. Doesn't look like that by the ratings.

Looks like there may be some change at NASA. possible layoffs and out sourcing of some jobs to Russia. i know its a conservative news net work and all and ratings could be a Little high but heck no one is perfect, well almost no one .

Barack Hussein Obama 69,456,897 (Kenyan)
John Sidney McCain III 59,934,814 (Panamanian)

Numbers have their place, but I suspect no one here thinks Obama is better than McCain simply because he got more votes. Analogy to MarkM's cable ratings should be obvious.
