My son finished BMS with flying colors. Now into the final stretch with ATT. First week down but he says this is serious stuff. A lot to learn. Good thing he has some solid study buddies. After a winter in CT he is really looking forward to GA!

Can you do me a huge favor and take some photos of my son and email them to me?

BESS Graduation-

There is a small parking lot to the immediate right of the main gate.  There is a small building there that is the security office.  Go into the building and tell them that you are here for BESS graduation.  You will need your liscense and proof of insurance.  They will fill out a log and give you a gate pass for the day.  Our son walked from his barracks and met us and then guided us to the BESS building.  Parking was difficult because of the snow and I am guessing it might be worse now.  I think we parked by the Liberty center and just walked.

Said it doesn't effect graduation or progress. He's ok with it. I saw the videos, and just thought it looked pretty fun to do.

Bummer - but they need to protect their ears. You don't want your son to burst an eardrum. Always better to be on the safe side.

Wouldn't let my son do the escape trainer because he has a cold.

Got a copy of my son's graduation certificate from BESS today via text and email. Really proud of his efforts. Now he will be getting his first tattoo then ATT starts next week. Looks like he has a schedule to get to C-school around May. My wife and I plan to go visit him once he gets settled into C-school.

Books on submarines- Tom Clancy has a non-fiction book caleed submarines.  It is about Los Angeles class attack boats and is a pretty easy read.  It is several years old but I thought it made me less ignorant on life in the submarine community.  Pete
