The Abe has a soft spot in my heart since Kat sailed on her and wrote/edited many issues of the Penny Press....and I know what it's like waiting for those results!!!!

Good advice, Robert.....but "don't count your chickens" until the say there is a Tiger Cruise! I have been in touch with my son's squadron and they advise that because of the extension in the deployment....nothing is for certain...including TC. My son has moved ships 3 times, is now back on the Lincoln....but could move again.

All that has been said about a TC is that there will be one. This is the Navy so even that could change. It is entirely on your Sailor to sign you up, get you the paper work and inform you of what to do, so keep in touch and ask questions with your Sailor. We can inform you of what to take, what to expect and how awesome it is to experience.

Where to live in VA? That's the question my Sailor asked in latest email.

When they get there to the most humongous Navy place in the world -- any ideas? The whole Norfolk -- Newport News -- place is famous for horrible traffic.

Anybody have any useful information on living and working in the Norfolk area? Everett was small and cool. Looks like a total change for Sailors shore-side living quarters.

And yeah, Paul D, morale is high on Abe, they been doing real good this deploy.
