Well, that post got mangled-- the main point is that the crew have been "out there" for months and will be for a few more months -
Whenever they come home - we will be happy Navy dads.
Can't wait -- but will have to wait -- but they'll be back home sometime this year -- probably.
Got this from my daughter aboard Lincoln
"Hopefully we won't be out here for TOO much longer, everyone is getting bored, and the ship thinks it's past time for it to be asleep in a nice cozy dry dock"
Don't think this news is an OPSEC problem.
They all (sailors and the ship) just want to get home -- when? whenever.
Probably sometime this year.
Bless them all the whole crew.
Looking forward to seeing my daughter and her sailor friends sometime later this year.

Thanks to my son's wonderful girlfriend and her mother, his truck and some of his shipmates belongings are now here in KC. That's at least over halfway to Norfolk.
That would be a little disappointing Chris. We have had an exchange student from Italy staying with us. She will be going home next month and was hoping they would be stopping there.
Robert, you should be very proud of him.
Bravo Zulu Robert....give our heartfelt congratulations to your sailor!!!
Got to have a good chat with my son today, first time I have heard his voice since early March. Earned his surface warfare badge, now just waiting for advancement results this month.
A big Hooyah! for Toby Keith, made my sons day to see him.
