At MEPS in San Diego. He hasn't shared yet when he leaves for basic, his job will be Missile Technician. I work in the South Bay, live in the Inland Empire.

My son and his shipmates aboard CVN-68 USS Nimitz are in port in Naples Italy. My mother was born in Italu, so my son is really excited to be there. He posted on his Facebook page that he walked into a bakery to buy a cannoli, and the guy behind the counter looked just like his older brother Vinnie! How fun for him!

The scariest thing about LSE looks like the night ops when there's really no comm besides night goggles, infrared only light and hand signals. Couple that up with the possibility of rocky weather out at sea yikes!
