  • Hey! Thanx for the comment. I love Alabama, it is great. And of course it makes me that much closer to the Pensacola navy base. I'm pretty new to this site but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Well I wish your children the best of luck. Keep in touch!

  • Hey Mark, sounds great! Happy 4th of July! Be safe out there at the lake.
  • Mark, I see your son will be stationed in Jacksonville. I live approx. 10 miles from NAS Jax. I was not sure if you had been to Jacksonville or not but thought I would offer any help if you would like. My son Curtis just went to Basic Training on Monday and we got "the call" around 2:50 am Fla. Time.... I am looking forward to his first letter.
  • Hi Mark, thanks for joining the Airdales! Hopefully we can generate some interest here among other aviation-related families. I was blessed to enjoy about 10 years in the P-3 community. I was trained at VP-30 in Jax as a P-3C Update III Weapons System Tech, which means I learned all of the avionics systems onboard. It was a great job, and a bit cushy compared to shipboard life.

Will Stephen be aircrew, or a "ground pounder" (ground maintenance only)?
  • Welcome aboard Mark! Glad to have you and your family as part of our Navy family. We did CAP instead of Sea Cadets, but it sure provided great training opportunities and opened doors.

What does your son (Stephen?) do in the Navy? Has he completed his training yet?

You don't happen to be affiliated with the PCA in TX? Our church in VA prays for a pastor with your name there.

    Blessings, Kevin
  • Thanks for joining us Mark. Best of luck to you and your family.
