Ship 12 Division 262

My son is assigned to Ship 12 Division 262. His PIR is August 6th. Anyone else out there with a recruit assigned to same. Can't wait for PIR.

A Great Day

Yesterday was one of my proudest moments to this date.. My daughter left for Great Lakes. I was there for the final swearing in and was able to spend pretty much the whole day with her untill her flight took her away. I must thank the volunteers with the USO for making my day much more enjoyable. They made me feel even more proud of my daughter than I already was.. Just a simple "Thank You for serving our country" kinda hit home. And put it all in…

This is it!!

Well dads, today is my last day being home! I leave at 10 am for Cleveland and will be staying in the hotel over night. Then I go to MEPS in the morning and get to see my dad, step mom, and step sisters. My dad has made an account on here and his name is Laron Leake, so please look after him and help him get through this while I can not be here. I appreciate all the advice you have all given me and I will bring that along. I'll post a blog when I get back telling all about my journey!

6 Days!!!

I myself am leaving for the Navy next week. I will be at MEPS on Tuesday, and Wednesday I'll be at RTC. I am 18 years old and just graduated high school. I decided to join back in January, so that's just what I did :) At first my dad didn't really know enough about the military and would've rather seen me go to college instead. corpsmans dad

Well very busy weekend here. - am at the kansas city MEPS for my oldest son to sware in as a Marine, today. Then my 2nd son is coming back from his Great Lakes A school for hospital corpman. Just passed his big test to go into phase 2.
