My son shipped out to Great Lakes yesterday. We didn't get the "I got here" call last night. We didn't get the call today either. I work from home so I know we didn't miss the call.

Read more…The Bluejackets Manual - 24th edition, 2009. Sure wish I would have had a copy when my son went through Boot. Since I wasn't in the Navy that book explained A LOT of what I didn't know about the Navy. (Each Sailor gets a paperback copy at boot camp)

I just found out today that my son is with Ship 11 Division 317. I'm trying to figure out when graduation may be so that we can arrange for time off from our jobs. We haven't received any letters from him so we really aren't sure when his graduation
